Morris has had a passion for art his whole life, from starting with coloured pencils on paper to spray paint on walls to now tattooing on skin for the past 9 years. He has always had a love for photo- realistic art focusing on and specialising in black and grey realism, chicano style and portrait work. He is a co-owner of Masterminds tattoo studios. Masterminds first opened its private studio in 2017 and its walk in studio at the start of 2023.

FAQ's
You will see the tattoo design the morning of the appointment when you arrive at the shop. All designs are done the night before the appointment. Please be mindful that tattoo artists deal with a lot of clients and design a lot of tattoos. We simply don’t have time to be designing weeks before the app. All designs are done digitally and any modifications can be done easily in person on the day. Designs are done based off your reference images but creative freedom is also essential to create a unique piece!
From the day of booking please start moisturising the area to be tattooed daily up until the tattoo. This will help with the process and ensure you get the best possible piece of artwork.
It’s important to get a good nights sleep the night before the appointment. Lack of sleep can interfere with your pain tolerance and decrease your ability to sit for the tattoo.
Keeping hydrated is also important so make sure you keep fluids up leading up to the appointment.
Have a big breakfast the morning of the appointment. It’s also important to keep your blood sugar levels up throughout the day. This can be done by bringing some lollies or soft drinks.
Masterminds studio has a strict zero tolerance policy on abuse of prescription drugs. If it’s visible that you are under the influence, your appointment may be cut short and future bookings will be cancelled. It is illegal to tattoo someone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Over the counter chemist numbing creams such as Emla or numb it are ok. These will have to be applied at home prior to coming into the studio. Numbing creams off the internet that are not tga approved are not allowed. They are very dangerous and affect the tattooing process and healing of the tattoo. If these creams are continued to be used future appointments will be canceled.
All tattoos are custom designed once off tattoos. Morris will design to suit your theme and base all concepts off the reference ideas provided. Creative freedom is essential to secure a booking.
Your appointment may be cancelled. Please be 100% certain on what theme you are after. The new theme you choose may not be something Morris is familiar with or interested in doing.
A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to make a booking. Please be deposit ready when making the booking enquiry. Please note a minimum of 5 day's notice is required to reschedule the appointment or the deposit will be forfeited. If you decide to cancel your appointment please be aware the deposit is non-refundable in this event.
A deposit is required for each individual day sitting made. This comes off the total price on the day!

After Morris has received the booking enquiry, an email will be sent confirming the booking with the deposit details and once the deposit has been received, available dates will be sent and the booking will be secured.
If any more information regarding design is needed Morris will contact you via email prior to the appointment.
A confirmation email will be sent the day prior to the appointment. If this is not confirmed the appointment will be canceled and deposit will be forfeited.
The use of black is critical to get the tattoo contrast correct which is super important for the end result. The tattoo will not look too dark with the use of black ink. There is also a lot of skin tone and medium tones to create a good balance.
The minimum age is 18. No exceptions.
Generally Morris would suggest laser tattoo removal to lighten the existing tattoo. The number of laser sessions is different for every tattoo. This ensures a much better end result.
The price for a full day sitting is $1100 This includes your design prior to the appointment and stencil prep time on the day.
Anything less than a full day sitting will be charged at $200 p/h.
Deposits are done via a bank transfer prior to making the booking. Payments on the day can be made via card payment, bank transfer or cash.
Please come alone to all appointments. The studio has limited space available.
You are more than welcome to bring drinks and snacks, there is food options within walking distance from studio also. Feel free to bring headphones, laptop, iPad to keep yourself occupied also.

Large scale work is usually done over day sessions. (Sleeves, torso etc). Booking multiple sessions is encouraged to avoid long wait times between sessions.
A full day sitting is from 9.30am to roughly 5.30pm.
